January 20th, at Center School on 49 Main St. from 6:30-7:30 p.m.:
This will be the Pinewood Derby weigh-in. ALL CARS MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED on this date. You dont get the car back after this. For any new racers, please look into the form attached on how to build your car and you can find the rules for building your racer at https://www.scoutshop.org/pwd-rules. The weigh-in for Lions, Tigers and Wolves will be between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. And the weigh-in for Bears, Webelos and AOLs will be from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. If your car meets the weight, height/width/length of the rules it'll be a quick night for you. But Scouts will have an opportunity to make adjustments and submit their racers. Late entries will not be allowed beyond this point so parents please make sure to tell your kiddos you'll be working on the Pinewood Derby block this weekend. See the below picture of what the cars have looked like in the past. You can also contact the crew chief Alex at his email if you need extra help or have scheduling conflicts at AlexIs#1PWDCrewChief.
January 25th, at Center School on 49 Main St. from 3:00 till about 5:00 p.m.
The day has finally arrived to see all the contestants race at the Pinewood Derby! Bring your entree ticket to the most exciting event of the year and unleash the madness as cars compete to be the best and greatest. Everyone will have an opportunity to vote for Best entries in categories such as, Scout Spirit or Most Creative and other categories. This will happen as we setup and prepare to begin the race. We ask for the families to bring snacks and munchies, we will not be providing lunch or dinner. The cafeteria will be packed and it will probably get hot in there as well, so plan accordingly. Bring drinks :)
Other events also taking place can be found on the updated calendar here. One event I want to focus on now is the Spring Overnight. Sign up now to reserve your spot as space may be limited!
